Christmas market...

The Holiday season is getting closer and closer and it's almost time to start shopping for presents. Of course you can buy your present online but even better is visiting christmas craft markets like the Mini Market in Elle Aime in Rotterdam. A tiny christmas market in her shop, if you're looking for unique and handmade (Christmas) gifts come and shop for stationery, illustrations, accessories, jewelry and  more ...
I'll be there too selling my work on 12 &13 december, see you there!!!

Christmas is coming....

Christmas is coming so close and I'm looking forward to decorate the house again, to get my boxes of decorations out and perhaps make a few new ones...One of my christmas decorations that isn't in a box is my WoodWool&stool tree so I could not resist to put it up and decorate with my new Frida ornaments, I think it's a perfect fit.

Talking about christmas I'm planning a christmas market at our house again this year. The market will be sunday the 9th december in Rotterdam, I'm happy to tell that I will have the company of two talented ladies Jessica (Jessica Nielsen) and Joscha (Muswerk) and their lovely work. Of course I'll be selling my work and the girls will have their own stall with cute products.

Look what I recieved all the way from sweden, Floortje send me this great package filled with pretty, fun, tasty things, I think it's a great way to start of Christmas. I look foward on sipping a cup of that lovely fragrant tea and cuddle up on the sofa with the family living, sounds perfect to me ;-)
Firts there are still a few things to be done untill I can sit and relax. Today I will decorate Christmas cookie houses for their school christmas party and I need to sew a party skirt for Mila.

A handmade Advent

This year I have started pretty late on the advent calendar for the girls, we have a garland of numbered socks to hang and to be filled but I just didn't find the time to do so. Finally yesterday when the girls came back from school they found the socks hanging in their room filled with goodies. I wanted to fill the socks with pretty little things for crafting, above you can see what I found. Some items I bought like the knitting fork, heartshaped popmpom maker, wooden star and some came from my own collection like the ribbons and zippers. To finish it off I wrapped everything in pattern paper and red and white string.
Better late than never ;-)

Be sure to come back tomorrow because I will have a very nice give away,
can't tell you much but it's from a very nice French company!!

I love baking cakes...

I really enjoy baking cakes and will take any possiblity to bake one, a family favourite is this Hungarian chocolate cake called "rigo jancsi". My grandmother used to make this and we all loved it, my sister and I tryed to get her recipe by looking at her making the cake and lots of tasting and both came up with our own variation. I cannot wait for the day that Sofia and Mila will make this cake for their loved ones! The cake is for dessert tonight after our christmas dinner (the orthodox one, the girls love the fact of celebrating chritmas twice ;-)
Happy weekend, see you on monday!

Bloesem christmas gift guide

Some time ago I was asked by Irene from Bloesem kids to share my gift ideas for christmas, I can tell you it was hard to choose, there are so many lovely things to buy your kids for christmas, you can find the post here. Are you ready for christmas? We don't have a tree yet, I was so busy these last few weeks and then with the snow and sick children it is hard to get out of the house, I think today we will buy a nice small one and finally start decorating...

Christmas in our house

Monday evening I finally put up our advent calendar, I know it's way to late but I just couldn't find the time before. I filled the socks with all the goodies Sofia and I brought back from Paris, I wrapped the presents in red/white polka dot paper and used my new origami paper to make labels. I love dressing the house up for the Holidays!!

catching up....

A bit of a hectic week, saturday evening I got sick with a stomach flu and had to take some time off, I'm busy catching up with e-mails, orders and such. Mila got sick yesterday to make things more complicated ;-) she is doing much better now!! One of the things I still had to finish where these mushrooms for the christmas ornament swap. I'm really happy with the result and feel sad to let them go......that is all for now, I hope to update my etsy shop tomorrow and announce some special christmas offers.
