Wintermarket

It's that time of the year again, time for hot chocolate, cookies, decorating and lots of presents that need to be bought!! This year we will have a wintermarket again, with  pretty things, a little cafe in our Roulotte with hot chocolate and homemade cookies. Not only will I be selling my work but I'm joined by two lovely and creative ladies Jessica (Jessica Nielsen) and Joscha ( Muswerk) and of course the girls and their friends will be selling their work.

I made some sugar cookies last week and willbake more for the wintermarket, I use cookie cutters but also love to cut some shapes with a little knife and make same cookie scenes....and they taste good too ;-)



Sewing sets

Wouldn't these little sewing sets be a perfect gift for Sinterklaas or christmas, I'll be selling them on the wintermarket this sunday.

Wintermarket preview

So the girls have been busy again, making these funny faces, robots, cats and robots for the wintermarket this coming sunday. We will be busy preparing these week, decorating the house making garlands, baking cookies and making sure we have enough hot chocolate for everybody!! We are looking forward to sunday and hope to see some of you !!

 I know i have blogged already today but I could not keep this untill tomorrow!! The girls have been busy drawing and sewing and I love what they have made so far. I made a screenprint of their super cute drawings that they used to make fabric houses and ornaments. They also made drawings to make buttons and thanks of Lisa I could make them, I spend a lovely time at her shop chatting and making the buttons, thanks again Lisa!! The girls will open their online shop in a few days there you can find some of the buttons and some other small items. An impression of our wintermarket

Yesterday we had a great day, very cold and cozy. The wintermarket went great and we had some really lovely visitors, friends, family and bloggers( so nice seeing Josha + family and Kay again). The girls did a great job running their little cafe, the hot chocolate with wipped cream was favourite and the cookies went well too ;-) Their shop inside looked so pretty and I loved seeing them in action, as you can understand they almost sold out!

Wintermarket

Tomorrow the wintermarket is already, yesterday Mila had a day off school and cut these lovely paper houses as window decoration, don't they look great! It's pretty cold here in Rotterdam and I even saw a few snow flakes today ! I hope to see some of you tomorrow, you can find the details here, we will have hot choco and freshly baked cookies waiting. I will try to make some pictures to share next week.

Sweet houses

The girls are very busy preparing for the wintermarket and I wanted to give you a preview of what will be on offer in their store. I have sewed little houses with them ( they sat on my lap and sewed with the machine while I contolled the peddle) and after turning and stuffing they did all the cutting and embroidery themself. I like them all and think they will be very popular !!

Wintermarket

Yesterday I asked Sofia to design a invitation for our wintermarket and here it is, a cute cat ice-skating (why didn't I think about that?). We took the drawing of Sofia and traced it with a special gocco pen and then gocco-printed the invitation in blue & gold. I was also quite productive yesterday evening and managed to sew a new outfit for one of the dolls, pretty chic I would say! If you like the custom dolls that I have been posting lately, you can buy them at the wintermarket (and will not be for sale yet in my etsy shop) or just contact me and I make a special order!

Made by Sofia

Here is a post of a proud mum, I like to show you some of the things Sofia made in the last few days. A little embroidered house, this great pictures of Eric the polar bear in our local zoo and the sweetest christmas card I ever seen ;-).

The girls and me are preparing for the winter market we are going to organise in our house, the girls will have their own stall selling their handmade products together with some friends (including these lovely cards and more fabric houses) and they will be also in charge of the cookie & hot chocolate cafe in their Roulotte. If you want to come, you are very welcome I will post more info about the wintermarket soon.

The girls....

The girls did a great job last sunday at the wintermarket, they where so sweet and happy, they had lots of fun selling their handmade items, limonade and cookies together with their friends. At the end of the day their shop was almost sold out and their pockets full of small money . For all of you informing about the sweet little animals Sofia has created, they all found a happy home but I'm very happy to tell you that she loved making them so much and actually could not stop making, so there will be some availible soon....

Last sunday....

Hi I'm back again, took some time off to tidy up and have a rest after a very nice, cozy and succesful wintermarket last sunday. I almost forgot to take pictures and just managed to take some before the first people came through the door. I had a really nice day chatting, selling, serving cookies( I baked 100!!) and Gluhwein. So nice to meet old friends, bloggers and even got a visitor all the way from Australia ( so nice meeting you Julie!!) Tomorrow some more pictures of the girls and their market adventures.....

Preview Wintermarket

Sunday is coming closer and we are busy preparing for the wintermarket. Sofia and Mila and their two friends have been very busy crafting. Here is a little preview from their shop ( we changed the children's play kitchen into a shop). Looking forward to sunday, hope to see some of you and I will of course take plenty of pictures......

Preparation (...or post of a proud mummie ;-)

Sofia is already very busy preparing for the wintermarket this sunday, I just love what she made, her embroidery work is so nice and neat and she writes the loveliest notes ;-) On this project we worked together, I machine sewed and filled the body, sofia did the rest. I think these will be a big hit at the wintermarket!!
