Bonjour

Hi I'm still here but working very hard. I'm busy making a new design and also preparing for the Yvestown Fair next weekend. Here are some stones me and the girls drew when we where on the beach in the south of France, we had lots of fun making them. We took a few home as a souvenirs but we also left some on the beach for people to find ;-)

La Vacance

(this is the house we exchanged with last summer, aquarel by me)

Summerholiday has finally started here for the girls,I have still some work left to do but will take it a bit slower. We have still some weeks here in rainy Rotterdam before we leave for the South of France. I'm really looking forward to explore Montpellier and it's area and to meet my blog friends Sonia and Deborah!
Do you have any tips on what to see, visit or do around Montpellier, I would love to hear about it!

For these coming weeks I plan to do lots of things, visiting a lot of musea, finishing sewing projects, working on my new design, drawing and crafting with the girls and lots more. I will keep on blogging the next few weeks, perhaps a little less than usually and the shop will stay open untill the 1th of august!

Enjoy your summer!

summertime and the living is easy...

Before going on holiday we had this idea of making lots of watercolour paintings....well we managed to make just a few, instead the girls made a diary (almost finished) of all the places we visited and I baked some jummie cakes for the picnics....

Back again

Holiday is over, the kids started school again and now it's time for me to start work again. I really enjoyed my holiday and being offline felt pretty good too. We spend two weeks in this lovely little house very near Saumur, such a great house with a lovely big garden with our own cave...including our own bats, surrounded by beautifull nature and lots of pretty castles. I hope you all enjoyed your holidays, I will slowly start blogging again and opend my etsy shop again.

Guess where we are going on our holiday.....

We found a Holiday swap, we are going to Vienna (Austria), we are really looking forward to our trip to this beautiful city and country, there will be lots to see and do, can't wait to visit the Hundertwasser house and see Klimt paintings and of course enjoy the nature. If you have any tips what to see or do I would love to hear from you.

I visited Austria with my family when I was the same age as Mila and my mum bought some lovely traditional fabrics and made me a Dirndl, it was my favourite dress for a long time, luckily my mum still had it and now it's just the right size for Mila. My mum also bought a Dirndl for my sister and so Sofia and Mila already know what they will pack for their holiday.

A little holiday and day 7 of the kids clothes week

We are back home, we spend some time with family in Zeeland in a cottage near the sea. We went there by train, ferry and the last 10 kilometres by bike ( Sofia and Mila too). The other day we made a bike tour along the sea of about 20 km and the girls where amazing, I'm so proud of them, not complaining and being very cool! I think we will go on biking holidays from now on ;-)

*****

The morning just before we left I managed to finish two more wrap dresses and took them with me in the train to cut all the threads....and so the girls got to wear their new dresses. I made a red flower wrap dress for Sofia with green bias tape and it looks so good on her don't you think. I will try to make a picture tomorrow of the dress I made for Mila.

Little girls dream....

We had a big surprise for our girls, we took them with the family to Ponypark city, a park with cabins and lots of pony's. They could choose a pony and take it for a whole day, to feed, to comb and of course ride it. They have been smiling ever since. Although it where only 3 short days it felt like a really long and relaxing holiday......

Hurray for Home Exchange

We exchanged house this summer holiday with a lovely family from the Provence, we love this way of holiday for several reasons. You don't have to pack a lot of stuff, it is almost like being home away from home. The girls love to have a childrens room filled with lots of fun ( boy) toys to explore, they loved the box with dress up clothes and didn't mind the lack of girly stuff.

Crafty Summer

Sofia made some gocco printed books for her friends

Since our return from the Provence the weather in Holland hasn't been that great, lots of grey and rainy days. The girls still have a few weeks of holiday left so I think there will be lots of crafty kids projects here in this house these weeks! Saturday our prize from the Crafty Crow funny food contest arrived, yehhhhh...., in the cute bag are lots of craft supplies to get our craft projects going.

Colours of the Provence

We are back from the Provence, we had such a lovely time. The weather was fantastic, the sea was heaven, the area is so beautifull we didn't want to go home! Here are some of the many great colours you can see in the Povence. Although I didn't miss my sewing and blogging I am happy to be here again and start again fresh and full of ideas for the new season.
