Hallo - owl- een

 We are not celebrating halloween with our family, but we like dressing up and dressing up the dolls too, after the fox mask I made a little owl mask and then the idea for a feather owl cape came to me. I will make a tutorial for the fox and owl mask soon and perhaps one for the cape as well.



Foxy doll

Yes i'm playing with the dolls again....I can't help myself, I had this idea of making a dolls fox mask already sometime but never got around to make it untill today. It was a fun and easy project and if you are interested to make your own let me know and I post a little fox doll mask tutorial ! Happy weekend!

drawing, drawing....

I asked the girls to make some cute drawing so I can screenprint them for a fun project I have in mind for their christmas market. When the girls started they could not stop...I love all these little figures they came up with and can't wait to put them on screen. The girls will open a little online shop in november to sell some of their handmade items and of course we will have a christmas market at our home where you can get your hands on some of their goodies too...

Rainy day in Paris

Yesterday I sewed this red raincoat inspired by the pretty raincoats from House of Dots, today I finished the coat and played some more but this time with photoshop. Doesn't she look chique walking her black poodle and shopping for some lovly clothes at House of Dots !

The rainy season started....

 Today I'm sewing some doll clothes, one of them will be a red raincoat for the Paris doll, she'll need it because the rainy season really started. The coat is inspired by the pretty raincoats from House of Dots, they have such great dresses and coats and I love their website!

The workshop

 Yesterday I gave a workshop  DIY gifts & packaging together with Lisa at her shop Elle Aime. I had a great day being surrounded by creative people and lots of pretty crafty materials. Here you can see some pictures from just before we started, we had a table full of examples of creative packaging, there was a goodiebag for everybody at the end of the day filled with crafty materials and a chocolate button lollie and  my fabric crafting table with baskets filled with fabric remnants to make your own tissue holder.

Lisa and I are already talking about a new workshop ideas....

Macarons for you...

 We have been away for some days to France, we had a good time strolling the streets of Blois and Orleans, did some shopping and ate some macarons ( not as good as the ones from Laduree )

Japanese tape

Who doesn't love Japanese tape? Of course you can buy it online and in quite some shops but there was no shop yet in Rotterdam selling this pretty tape, untill now. Lisa from Elle Aime will be selling it in her cute boutique! It was already difficult to leave her shop empty handed but now it will be even more difficult ;-)

Lait Fraise

Thanks to Twitter I found this very lovely kids webmagazine/ blog  Lait Fraise all about super cute things for kids with tutorials, interviews, give-aways and musch much more....it's in french but don't worry the pictures and design are reason enough to visit this site.

Paris in Pink

I'm not a pink person, but I think this combination with black and white looks quite chique. I listed these remnant sets in my etsy shop and there are just 3 sets availible so be quick!!

I love love love magazines...I did a fun magazine with Floor who moved from Holland to Sweden a little while ago and send her some dutch magazines and she send me this lovely new swedish one Hemstilat.

More circus rabbits

After making this circus rabbit I could not stop and made two more circus rabbits. I'm busy making a DIY kit to make your own circus rabbit and hope to finish it soon and add it to my shop.

Workshop DIY Gifts & Packaging

I'm going to give a workshop in Rotterdam in Rotabs style centre together with Lisa from the very lovely shop Elle Aime. The workshop is all about creating small gifts ( for the holiday season) and pretty packaging. You can read more info here, I hope to see you there!!

Oh how I love Sofia's creativity, she started writing poetry (really great ones) and keeps on making such great drawings. This one I just had to share, really loving the detail of Daddy cat carrying his bag with his tail ;-)

KCWC (kids clothes week challenge)

A few weeks ago I sewed this jeans jacket for Sofia, she loves it and I loved making it (exept for the button holes!!!) If you like sewing clothes for your kids it could be fun to join KCWC over at Elsie marley blog. A challenge to commit to sew children's clothes for an hour each day for 7 days. I have joined a few times before and think I will join in again although it will be a challenge to find the time. I like all the tutorials you can find on her blog and inspiration on her  flickr page. So come on and join me and sew some cute little outfits for our kids!!

 I love magazines and I have quite a collection at home, what I love even more is online magazines because these don't take up any space in my room! I have mentioned a few of my favourites already here on my blog and I'm happy to add a new one to my list. Moodies a Dutch online magazine made by Moodkids, in the magazine you can find fashion, shopping, inspiration and I love the ideas for creative lunchboxes. I 'm very happy that finally there is a nice dutch online ( kids) magazine and can't wait to see the next issue!

Going to the circus

Saturday we went to the launch party of Appracadabra, the theme of the party was Circus, I love that theme and so do the girls (they started circus school this year). So the girls dressed up and I made a circus coat for one of the Rabbits and a sweet bowtie and a circus rabbit was born. The rabbit was a gift for the team of Appracadabra and I heard that he will get a special place at their new office!
