New items for my collection

Some new additions to my collection, I was planning to make this
cushion for a long time but have been to busy with other things.
This is a part of the Helicopter collection for Mikodesign, I
designed and handprinted all the dessins/textile myself.
The collection includes cushions, fabricbanners, cats, rabbits,
little poufs, aprons, bags and even more.
Now after most swaps and all holidays over I can focus myself
to finish my website, all the pictures etc... are ready but building
a good navigation is a bit of a challange. I will keep you posted
when everything is ready and invite you over to take a look
around.

swap to Monika

This is thebag/tote I made for Monika, using japanese
fabric from the quilt store in combination with linnen.

This is the totea made for Huxley,
see the matching apron here.

This is the package I send to Toronto to Monika and her son
Huxley, I've send her some of my favourite green teas, one of
my favourite craft magazines, an apron and tote for Huxley
using some of the lovely fabric Sasha send me, together with
some sweets and fabrics.
Monika has send the Package to my sister, for her birthday I
can't wait to see how she will like it, I wanted to share some of
that swap feeling with her.

swap to Melly and Rosie

This is what I have send to Australia, they recieved the package so
I can post this, I loved putting this together, they are like me crazy
about making softies, so I knew they would like the vintage books I
send them. See their blog for more pictures.
I'm looking forward to recieving my package because I'm positive
I'll be in for a treat, andI know the girls will love their Flossies
Melly and Rosie made.

swap to amirah

Amirah has send my mother a package but included this presents
for us, some cute toothbrushes and stickers for the girls, and some
cute fabric and a beautifull handmade ring for me.
Thanks Amirah thanks for this lovely extra.

Last week was a busy week getting 3 swaps ready, but I managed,
the postmen have been working very hard because this week all
the packages have arrived.
This package is what I've send to Amirah in Malasia, she was so
sweet to send the package to my mum, for her birthday, so I had
double fun, putting the package together and the reactions from
Amirah and my mum.
Both where pleasently supprised so that makes me a happy girl,
I haven't got the pictures of my mum's package yet, so that will
follow.
In the package for amirah i included some fabrics, white red and
turqouise, a handmade pouch, some of my favourite french
magazines, some pattrens, cookies and magnets.

Fabric banner tutorial

I love fabric banners, there are a lotof different ways to make one,
I've made a few different ones and I think this is the best way to
make one.
This is the first tutorial I ever did, so if there are any questions,
yes please!!

*collect a few different cute fabrics, I prefer a combination of plain
cotton and cute printed cotton.

* draw on a piece of paper a triangle of your chosen size, here I
made a small one.

* Use the paper triangle to cut your fabric , The amount of triangles
depends on the length that your banner is going to be, you have to
do a little math to find this out.

* I like to have the same amount of plain ones as the pattern textile,
this way it's easier to make a nice combination.

* After cutting the fabric place the triangles with the patterned sides
together and sew them together.

* turn the triangles inside out and iron them.

* Fold the bias ribbon double, and sew the triangles between them, leave
some space at the beginning and end of the banner.
* ready

Happy New Year

Happy New year to you. I think this will be a great year a lot of
things will be going on , i organized two workshops "design and
make your own softie" at the end of this month in Kunstwerk
Spangen, one for adults and one for children.
I really hope that the people will love it and that i can do this
more often.
Also i will try to have some private 'spring 'sales, one of them
hopefully in Paris at a friends place together with Marine from
Figuesenpot.
One of my most important things i need to do is to finish my
webpage,it's almost ready just need a few details and pictures
sorted.
I went shopping for some nice textiles for myself, found some nice
japanese cottons I used one of them already for one of the swaps
i'm working on at this moment.
