Bonton

After my trip to paris I made a few little paintings from my favourite places and shops in Paris. I posted my painting of the Bonton photobooth on instagram where they saw it and liked it and reposted it on their acount so great! But the best part was that someone saw it and contacted me, she wanted a print of the painting to give to her husband on their  1st anniversary because he proposed to her in that photobooth!! Love that story! I love how social media works and how it connects people and stories.

Souvenirs de Paris

My favorite Paris Souvenirs to bring back home are Macarons. There are of course the famous ones of Laduree and Piere Herme, those are really tasty but of course you can also find them at a lot of  Boulangerie's. These Pretty macaraons are from just a random bakery in Paris and taste& look great, not as delicate as the fancy ones but way better than most of the Macarons you can find in the Netherlands.

Pretty Paris shopping

Last week i spend a few days with my man and girls in Paris, we had such a lovely time. We did some tourist things like climbing the eiffeltower ( it was scary because I'm afraid of hights !) walking the Champs-Élysées, eating macarons at Laduree and of course we visited Notre Dame and Sacré Cœur and had dinner at Montmartre. Besides all the tourist attractions I managed to visit some of my favourite shops and also visit a new favourite shop called Adeline Klam.
The day we visited this shop it was grey and rainy in Paris but as soon as you open the door you'll forget all about the weather. This shop is so light and colourfull and everywhere you look there are pretty things to see. The shop owner Adeline Klam made a few japanese inspired books and her shop is filled with all kind of beautifull japanese craft materials like kimono fabrics, origami paper and of course washi tape.  The shop is located  near Bastille in Rue Richard Lenoir where you can also find a very nice market and is walking distance from Merci and Bonton. Of course we did not leave the shop empty handed, i'll show you in a next post what we bought and the rest of our Paris shopping loot.

Oh la la...new packaging

The Paris D.I.Y. kits needed  new packaging, so a few weeks ago I started designing the new pacakging. I wanted to create some labels too, for the packages & orders I send out.
I love making pretty packages and think these labels will look great combined with red/white twine and simple white paper bags. Do you like the labels?  I made a few Paris label sets so you can decorate your packages too, you can find them in my Etsy shop

Click clack

I'm working on a little extra to add to the I love Paris doll kit and thought a little camera would be great to take pictures of all the pretty Paris Monuments. I have a little space left on my fabric for an extra to add to the kit. What do you think a Paris girl cannot live without, what shoul I add?? By the way I printed the doll in red and I like it, I will list some in the shop very soon.

Petit Pan goodies

Each time we come to Paris I try to visit one of the stores of Petit Pan, my favourite one is the Mercerie, here you can buy colourful fabrics, little metal bells in all colours and shapes, fabric remants, fabric string, pretty paper, fabric buttons and so much more. It's just like a candy store!! I'm very happy with my goodies I bought and the cute bag the use to wrap it. On my Paris blog you can see some pictures of the shop and later this week I will share a small tutorial with the fabric string and bells. You can buy the peit pan fabrics here and here

Macarons

One of the things on our to do list was to visit Laduree and buy some macarons, the shop was worth a visit, so pretty and well presented. So many different flavours it was really hard to choose....we bought two boxes of 8, one to take home and one to test right away. We sat down on the stairs of a nearby church and had a baguette with brie and had a macaron as dessert. The macaron tasted really good, perfect crisp from the outside and soft and tasty from the inside. Our favourite taste was Cassis, fresh and fruity and not to sweet. So when you are in Paris treat yourself to some jummie macarons from Laduree.
