Serious holiday planning

We still have some time before we will leave to France on summer holiday but I'm already planning and preparing some of the things I like to take with me. Since we made some watercolours for Mila's birdparty I refound my love for aquarel painting and I'm very happy the girls like it too, so we are planning to make a diary with drawings and paintings instead of writing and want to make at least one drawing a day. I bought some nice A5 blocks with heavy paper and some new pencils and fineliners and extra paint colours. I really look forward to our holiday, two weeks in a house in a small village in the Loire. What do you take with you for your holiday?

That is so inspiring to know that you are going to be doing this "collaboration" with your daughters! Is there anything that you have done in the past that you think is responsible for their interest in this kind of project? If so I would love to know so that I can do the same! :-) Or do you think it was just luck that you ended up having kids with similar interests to yours?

What a lovely idea! My granddad always took his watercolours on holiday to Spain with him, and now I've inherited the lovely pages of memories... it's so special to see the beautiful places through his eyes and paints. I'm sure yours will be just as treasured!
