Did you notice that lately there is a lot of blue on my blog and not a lot of red? This has not any special reason but i thought it was a good excuse to share these photos I took a while ago... I think many of you will celebrate Halloween, so I wish you all a happy (halloween) weekend.Friday, October 29, 2010

Together
Yesterday evening I finished the new doll, Ive listed these two in my etsy shop now if you are intrested. My girls had a week autumn holiday and started school today, it's a bit strange to have the house for myself again, perhaps a little to quiet. I'm not complaining though, I have enough to do. I want to thank you all for the great feed-back on the new rabbit kit, I really enjoyed designing it and it's so great to see that you like it too. Now i will start to work on a other project that I'm planning for a long time and hope to finish soon! Sunday, October 24, 2010
Making a doll
One thing that I read in the comments you left at the give-away that you enjoy the photo's of projects in process. Here is one for you, I started to make a doll this morning, I mixed the rabbit-kit and the doll kit, the arms and body of the rabbit and the head and legs of the doll, I show you the result tomorrow.Thursday, October 21, 2010
Pretty fabrics...
My mum and dad went to Antwerp a few days ago and I asked my them to visit Julia's shop, I've been following her blog for a while now and love the pictures of her shop window and new products for the shop. She has a very nice collection of fabrics (liberty, echino etc..) buttons, japanese sewing books, wool and much more. This is what my mum bought for me ( she knows me well ;-) I hope to visit the shop myself in the near future to take a look at all the pretty things myself.Monday, October 18, 2010

The fox and the birds
I'm finishing up a project i'm working on, a curtain for a girls bedroom. I'm decorating a plain white velvet curtain with a felt tree, gras, flowers and added some birds and a little fox, especially the grass was tricky to sew on the curtain and I'm glad that I am almost finished now, although Mila is said to me that she wants a curtain like that too....perhaps I will make her a cushion with that same fox...we'll see.Wednesday, October 06, 2010
Enveloppe tutorial

Since a few weeks Sofia and Mila are writing letters to their grandparents, they don't live far away and we see them almost every week but I thought it was a good way for the girls to practice their writing skills & spelling and it would also be a fun thing to do. Last week Mila and I spend some time making enveloppes of pretty paper from our favourite magazine Flow, I made a little animation with a small tutorial on how to make these cute enveloppes with some magazine pages and Japanese tape...enjoy!!

style cookie

I hope you all had a lovely weekend, we had a really lovely warm sunday that we spend outside walking, biking and eating icecream. Today I'm busy with boring administration( I really don't like doing this!!) In my lunchbreak I visited this great new site Style cookie, a online magazine with direct links to the shops to buy all those pretty items! They also have an Atelier where you can find the directions on how to make some of the design ideas in their styling pictures.

An other sewing box
I hope that you are not bored by all the sewing kits we are making, the girls just have so many birthday parties to go to and we think it's a fun gift. Of course we try to make each kit special and diffrent, this time I thought it would be nice to use a doll head as a pin cushion, the felt needle book is simple to make and with the felt flowers they make a nice pair I think.
