We made a cushion as a birthday present for Sofia's friend ( she is horse crazy ;-). The drawing Sofia made we used as a template and cut out the fabric, with some double sided vliseline I ironed it on the fabric, added some details et voila, Sofia was so happy with the result that it was hard to give it away, next time we will make one for her.
