Today Sofia handed out her invitations....

Last Sunday I had a stall at the Zeehelden Market in Den Haag, it was a perfect day with lots of sun, meeting lovely people and good sales, what do you need more....

Frida Khalo birthday party 4# work in progress...

Very busy making the invitations, here you can see the photo shoot. I bought a cheap canvas and painted it blue to use as a background. We will also use the canvas for the party to make photos of Sofia's friends dressed up like Frida Kahlo, I think that will be lots of fun.

Little girls dream....

We had a big surprise for our girls, we took them with the family to Ponypark city, a park with cabins and lots of pony's. They could choose a pony and take it for a whole day, to feed, to comb and of course ride it. They have been smiling ever since. Although it where only 3 short days it felt like a really long and relaxing holiday......

Frida kahlo birthday inspiration 2#

I'm already busy making my own Frida doll for Sofía's birthday but look at this cute doll, you can find a pdf and instructions ( in spanish) in this great online magazine, lots of crafty ( mexican) ideas and eye candy and also a little bit of Mikodesign ;-)

The Long Tread

I love mozaiks and I love to see other peoples favourites, even better to be included, great way to start of the weekend. The long tread is the name of a lovely blog with lots of great crafty ideas, go on and take a look!

New fabric sets

I've been busy screenprinting and sewing a lot the last few days, with the remnants of the sewing I made two great remnants bags,Perfect for small sewing projects.

I also listed a set of the green flower & butterflies fabric, if you like them, go and get them here.

Design by Sofia

We made a cushion as a birthday present for Sofia's friend ( she is horse crazy ;-). The drawing Sofia made we used as a template and cut out the fabric, with some double sided vliseline I ironed it on the fabric, added some details et voila, Sofia was so happy with the result that it was hard to give it away, next time we will make one for her.

Frida Kahlo Inspiration

Just one month untill Sofia's 8th birthday party. This year we choose a Frida Kahlo artist party theme, with lots of colour, painting portraits, paper flowers and lovely food. At least that is the plan, now we have to get started to get everything ready. I hope you will join me with the preparation fun, perhaps you have a great idea for this party theme, or perhaps you have a jummie recipe that I can make for the party, I love to hear from you :-))

Queensday

The girls had their own stall at 'Queensday', they sold necklaces, hats and bags they decorated with flowers and beads, they were pretty good at selling and have now a pretty full piggy bank that they can invest in some nice new toys.
