Our Weekend

A very full but great weekend, saturday Mila helped me selling at my stall at Bazar Bizar, sunday the girls washed the windows while daddy was building a stairs and balcony for their playhouse and I took care of the garden and did some painting.

I have been busy with a lot of things, one of them was printing some t-shirts and hoodies for an upcoming market.....tomorrow I will be at the Bazar Bizar in Rotterdam, so if you are in the area come by and say hi!!

Two weeks ago Sofia and Mila did a photo-shoot for Homemade Happiness, here are some of their pictures. I really like their products and was lucky to see some of their new items that come to their website soon I hope ;-)

I have been very busy preparing for a sale tomorrow, too busy to do some work on the inside,I just managed to paint the shutters with blackboard paint so the girls can play shop!!!

Dressing 'la roulotte'

Our weekend we spend working on the playhouse, we made a kitchen and seating/sleeping area
and I made some cushions from vintage souvenir scarfs. The girls are busy as well with dressing their newhouse, they bought some nice items at the secondhand shop, like the little vase and the cute painting.

Frida Give away

I had so much fun planning and crafting for Sofia's Frida Kahlo party, I'm very happy how everything looked and most importantly Sofia ( and friends) were very pleased with the results. To thank you all for the sweet and supportive comments I have a little give away for you to share our party fun.

The Frida Kahlo goodie bags

So I hope you are not bored with all the Frida Kahlo party pictures, I promise it is almost over, but I could not keep this from you. This is the goodie bag we made for the party guests, Sofia made this drawing of Frida and together we designed a colouring book, we added some coloured pencils and cute bird pins and some candy. I have printed some small and big paper bag and also some cards and listed them in my etsy shop so you can have your own Frida party...... or you can come back tomorrow for the Frida give away.....

Presents

This is the present we gave Sofia for her 8th birthday, a wooden sewing box with her own Frida drawing gocc-ed on the outside and a drawing from her sister on the inside.

8 years already

Today was Sofia's birthday, 8 years already, it's going tooo fast!! We made some gocco-ed bags with a Frida drawing made by Sofia filled with some taco chips and a small gift for her classmates.

The Party

Here the result of two of the activities we did during the kidsparty, they painted their own portraits inspired by Frida Kahlo and we did a photoshoot with them. I really love how it turned out.

The party was great we had so much luck to have a sunny day and spend most of the time outside in the garden ( so much better....) In the morning we had the kids party with 9 girls in total and in the afternoon we had a party for our friends and family with mexican food.

I will post some more pictures soon of the Pinata's and the other decorations and at the end of this week there will be a little Frida Kahlo party give away !!

Or not just jet I have so many things that need doing, tomorrow is the big day but my house is still a mess, at least I got to sinish the party skirts in time.........

La Roulotte

We are very busy building a playhouse for the girls in our garden, not just any playhouse but a 'roulotte' or 'gypsy caravan'. The caravan is already takingshape after a long weekend busy hammereing an sawing( not sewing this time ;-))

Bloesem kids & New flag banners

One of the first blogs I read in the morning after bringing the children to school is Bloesem kids, it's always a pleasure to see what Irene has found. This morning it was even better when I saw that she has mentioned Mikodesign, thanks Irene, it's so great to hear that Lode enjoys the flags!!

I made a lot of new flagbanners for the upcoming markets and for my new webshop, but I decided also to put some in my etsy shop, while my website launch is a little delayed ( I wonder why??)
