Relaxing.....

Something we did a lot in Sweden was relaxing, I must confess we didn't see many musea/galleries..... A good place for relaxing when you are in Stockholm is Rosendahls Tradgard, enjoy a picknic under the appletree or treat yourself on one of the lovely homebaked cakes in the greenhouse.....take a walk around the grounds and see all the pretty flowers and the tomato greenhouse.

We need one of these in our garden!!!

New fabric sets

I have made some new fabric remnants pack for the shop, I really enjoy making these, putting diffrent and colours and prints together is so much fun, if you like them you can find them here.

I wanted to share some pictures with you of two shops that I visited in Stockholm.

I didn't spend much time on shopping and sadly some of the shops I was looking forward to visit where closed for the summer, I guess I have to go there again soon.

Come and enjoy the country side.......

We are back home again, we enjoyed a two week trip to sweden where we enjoyed both the city and the countryside where we stayed at a lovely farm estate with its own lake and forrest.

I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed reading all your comments, some of you I already know others are new to me and I hope I will have some time soon to pay a visit to your blogs. It is such a pleasure to see how many people have enjoyed the post about our little playhouse, to see such a big response feels really great and quite overwhelming!!!

A little tour....

We have finished the playhouse for the girls, come on and take a look at their new play area......

The outside with all their little flower baskets and their own porch area, perfect for a sunday lunch.....

The livingroom, we made a bench with two compartments for storing their toys, the cushions are made from vintage scarfs and we added a patchwork curtain to create a little bedroom.

The kitchen, a bright and modern white kitchen with lots of storage for all their pots and pans.

Do you have Stockholm tips????

Almost summer holiday, friday we will leave for our holiday, we are house-swapping and will go to a very nice city appartment with balcony ( overlooking the water and boats) in Stockholm. I have already found some nice city guides on the internet but what I really look for is some more tips on what to do and see in stockholm, where to shop and swim and I would love to hear if you have any tips on what to do with kids in Stockholm......

Sewing.....lots of it....

I have been sewing a lot lately, cushions and curtains for the playhouse for the girls. I used some vintage souvenir scarves to make the cushion covers and used the colours as inspiration for the fabrics I used to make a patchwork curtain, I really like them and cannot wait to see how everything looks together, I hope to show you pictures in the weekend of the end result ;-)
