Sewing Cafe

Today I went to the Sewing Cafe in Rotterdam, it is such a great place with great machines, materials, coffee and good advice!They have all sorts of classes: sewing, knitting, felting and also some great children's classes.

A little time ago I send a package with some Mikodesign screen printed fabrics to Ella in Canada, to make into a doll for me (us).

She finished made 3 dolls instead of one I had to choose one, I had a hard time choosing and finally decided on these two! Today it was like christmas when the big package arrived, inside the lovely dolls Sofiya and Milika that Ella made together with some handmade gifts for me (I did not have time to take good pictures of them yet!). The girls and I love our beautiful handmade items! Thanks Ella, your next package will be on it's way tomorrow!!

I had so much fun giving this 'make your own softie' workshop on the school of Sofia and Mila, 23 children made some very cute / cool softies. At the end of the day we had a little photo shoot, I think this could be some great Holiday cards!

A week ago my grandmother sadly passed away, these are some of her beautiful handmade pieces in our house , she was such a lovely, sweet and talented woman.

Last week I recieved these lovely hand felted acorns from Claudia from 'aux petits oiseaux', I think they look so great with our autumn table.

Today I screenprinted this wintery girl, she was made by Sofia (7 years), I changed a few tiny things and added some pattern to her skirt. I love the result and Iam so proud of her, I think she has a great talent for drawing....

North Carolina......

My man is going on a trip to North Carolina (Raleigh) very soon, does anybody have good tips for stores I can send him to pick up some nice craft supplies, fabric or craft books/magazines?? and if you have some nice tips for site seeing he would really appriciate it!
